Traditional education has long failed us, both politically and in how it teaches us to think. From childhood on, students are trained to accept the given questions as the only ones worth asking and to seek the “right” answers while ignoring all others. This habit of mind closes off imagination and possibility. It is the enemy of basic social change. To make the world anew, we must first learn to see it differently: to recognize that knowledge is never singular but plural, contested, and alive with contradiction. Only then can education become not a pedagogy of the oppressed, but a practice of freedom.
