Pathologists' Assistants are unsung heroes in pathology- Among many other responsibilities, PAs perform gross examinations of specimen, which is examining and sectioning a specimen before it gets placed on a slide and viewed by a pathologist. They are the front lines of pathology, making sure the pathologist has what they need to render a correct diagnosis.
