Rare Chronosport UDT Rambo Watch Found on eBay — Can I Fix It? ESA 900.321

I found this one on eBay after years of searching, as they’re tough to come by in good, working condition. This particular watch arrived with an unknown service history and the same reputation many UDTs carry — unreliable digital displays and mechanical issues. I carefully inspected the bezel, crown, and pushers, then opened the case using a special tool since the caseback was sealed on way too tight. Inside, I found an ESA 900-231 movement in surprisingly clean shape, with no signs of corrosion. After identifying the correct 344 battery and installing it, I discovered that — like many of these — the digital display was dead and the hands weren’t moving, despite the ticking. For now, I’ll give it a light cleaning and explore my repair options, most likely sending it to Rawsar in Australia, a specialist in these movements.
