Along this historic route, I was struck by the extraordinary hospitality of local residents. Geographically leaning more towards the Shu region, the area shares strong cultural similarities with Sichuan in both culinary traditions and dialect. The mountainous terrain here is bisected by the Bailong and Baishui rivers converging at Yulei Pass. Wen County boasts abundant local specialties including premium tea, traditional Chinese herbs, olives, and Sichuan peppercorns. While the region preserves unique cultural treasures like the Baima ethnic group's intangible heritage, the scenic Tianchi Lake, and the distinctive Yulei Lantern Opera, I didn't end up visiting any of these attractions.
