http://www.normandyguitars.com https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=... Jim Normandy likes to work with Aluminum. He builds some of the coolest guitars on the planet out the stuff and now he's extended his range into the pickups themselves. Twang Shifters feature a machined aluminum bobbin that give them a super cool look. This set is kind of a mustard yellow but I know that Normandy can do blues, reds and probably everything else as well. The sound? It's a little darker than your usual Tele pickup. The top end has been curtailed a tad, probably to balance our the top-end when installed in an all-aluminum guitar such as those Normandy produce. This is not a negative quality; on the contrary, it's cool to have a smoother and less 'ice-picky' sound coming from my alder T-Style geetar. The guitar is a locally made Red House T-Style. The body is about a ¼" thicker than normal and it features a Joe Barden compensated bridge. Other than that, it's vintage stylings through and through. I used a Laney VH-100R and 2x12 (Greenback) cab for this demo. During the video I run through all channels - clean, crunch, lead and lead with gain - and back again.
