My Christmas present to everyone in the VOCALOID community: a new and improved evolution of the Most Iconic VOCALOID Songs from Each Month since Hatsune Miku's release all the way back in August 2007. It was really emotional to look back at the songs back then and compare them to the songs we have now to see the different eras we had. 2009 was Luka's prime, she dominated the charts. 2012-2013 had a lot of IA (in honorable mentions), 2018 and 2020 saw Flower at her peak popularity. We then experienced KAFU explode in popularity in 2021, and now we are in Kasane Teto's era. Throughout all of that, however, Hatsune Miku continues to remain our iconic diva. For the first time, I did not work on this video alone. Big special thanks to the people who helped work on this video with me whom I have credited in the intro of the video! They allowed me to give more accurate picks for the main songs and honorable mentions for each the months. I've realized that PinocchioP appears quite a lot in this video, that just shows how iconic they are as a producer. Same with Giga and DECO*27. These songs were ranked based on multiple factors. Were they culturally important, such as appearing on concerts or known pretty well by an average fan? Is it known outside of the VOCALOID community? How about being historically important, like entering a view milestone, being a creator's last song, or boosting an artist or VOCALOID's popularity, etc. Speaking of popularity, has it just been popular over the years? Just because a song is POPULAR, does not mean it is culturally or historically iconic in the VOCALOID community (do you hear that Kami no Manimani?) This video was created for informational purposes and all producers have been credited in this video. I make no profit from ads and everything should be under fair use.
