The multidisciplinary team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Stone Center explains the medical and surgical treatment options available for pediatric kidney stones and when each is appropriate. The Stone Center provides comprehensive care including diagnosis, treatment, prevention and long-term follow-up so kids can live healthy, stone-free lives. The Center utilizes state-of-the-art treatment modalities in urinary stone disease including incisionless stone ablation with shock waves and lasers, as well as minimally invasive surgery performed by laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
