Here we see Leylah Fernandez warming up her footwork, forehands, backhands, dropshots and a few volleys as she plays mini tennis with her coach. If you look carefully at Leylah's forehand & backhand grip, she holds the racket higher than most other players as you can see the butt of the racket under her left hand. This allows her to get more manoeuvrability of the racket head but less leverage and power. Some players such as Rafa use this grip on the volleys but it is quite rare to see such a grip on their groundstrokes. If you are an avid tennis player you would know that mini tennis is an important way to warm up. It helps you warm up "all systems" such as your muscles and hand-eye coordination as well as help in getting a feel for the ball. Players tend to focus on generating spin to dip the ball back into the service box on the other side of the net while maintaining a good height over the net.
