(3 Dec 1998) English/Nat Violence erupted for a second day between Palestinians and Israelis on the streets of Jerusalem. Six Israeli police officers and two Israeli civilians were injured by rocks and a Palestinian was struck by a rubber bullet fired by police to disperse stone throwers on the Mount of Olives. The clashes come as Israel declared a planned West Bank withdrawal would not go ahead following Wednesday's Palestinian lynch mob attack on an Israeli soldier. In response, the Palestinians are blaming the Israelis of violating the Wye peace agreement signed in the United States in October.
