Dallas led 6-0 after the first quarter on two Rafeal Septien field goals. After John Lee booted a 45 yard field goal for St.Louis, Dallas would score 21 straight points to take command of the game. White threw touchdown passes of 36 yards to Mike Sherrard and 20 yards to Tony Hill. Herschel Walker also scored on a 19 yard run. A second Lee field goal cut the Dallas lead to 27-6 at halftime. In the second half Steve Pelluer started at quarterback and led Dallas to two third quarter scoring drives. Capped by a four yard touchdown run by Walker and a Septien 47 yard field goal. White completed 10 of 16 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns while Pelluer was 12 of 16 for 119 yards. Walker rushed for a game high 120 yards on 26 carries and Sherrard led all receivers with 111 yards receiving. For the Cardinals, Neil Lomax finished 17 of 34 for 172 yards.
