Announcing the resounding end to lockdown and the re-opening the world’s foremost theatre district, Alpha’s Best of the West End raised the roof of the Royal Albert Hall with a musical event that will linger long in the hearts and minds of a spellbound audience. Presented by Alpha, the extraordinary show, ‘Alpha’s Best of the West End’, was hosted by musical theatre legend, Ruthie Henshall. Ruthie was thrilled to be back on stage and heralded performances from world-famous singing superstars, Mica Paris, Layton Williams, John Owen-Jones, Matt Henry MBE, Sophie Evans, Lauren Samuels, Friederike Krum, Matthew Croke, Mazz Murray, Kerry Ellis, Anna-Jane Casey and Gina Murray. Ben Forester was running the event behind the scenes, as the show’s creative director. The Royal Albert Hall came alive once again as it threw its doors open to welcome a packed house. Famous faces, including, Mel C, Brendan Cole and Beverley Knight, studded the audience. It proved to be a long-awaited and very welcome return to live music and musical theatre, with the audience spending much of the event up out of their seats and marked the show’s close with no less than 14 standing ovations.
