Billions of migratory birds fly south to their wintering grounds every fall, but the habitats they need to survive once they get there are at risk. In order to maintain healthy populations of these beloved birds, we must work to conserve both habitat along their journey as well as their winter homes. Birds need these places across the Americas to ensure their survival, and with habitat loss as the number one threat they face, it's time to scale up conservation efforts outside of existing protected areas. That's why ABC has launched BirdsPlus. This innovative program aims to rapidly expand bird habitat conservation by investing in sustainable development in the places most important to migratory birds in Latin America and the Caribbean.
