Song Of The Soch was written by Bev Pegg and originally recorded with his "Goin' Nowhere Band" on his 1978 album "Nostalgia Is A Thing Of The Past" released on the Beaujangle label DB0007. The song is dedicated to all of the crowd who used to cruise, or race, up to Abersoch in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Pete, Harry, David (who's interest in photography allowed these memories to be captured on film), Val, Virginia, Mad Robert, John Bloore, Ian, Robert & Joan, Yvonne, Lillian (Tel: Pwllheli 5), Gwyneth from the cafe, the four nice girls who's caravan was near ours, Stan (who made our car go faster), Gail and her mates, Colin, Biffo, Derek, The Sleuth, Big Bertha, Emrys, Mr. Crute (the site owner at the time), Philippe, Andy on the scooter, Stan's mate who liked our jokes, the two guys who saw us play at Llanbedrog Village Hall and offered to be our managers and make us famous, the MC at Llanbedrog Village Hall who liked the "Boys from Birmingham" bringing extra people in to their local Saturday dance, and many others who's names, time has caused us to forget. People who take their holidays at The Warren these days will find it hard to recognise the site as it was all those years ago. www.bevpegg.co.uk
