Join me for my first time detecting since April 18. Due to the heat, health issues, etc. I didn't get to detect all Summer. This was recorded on the 3rd day of September, 2021. Once again, I was swinging the Tarsacci MDT 8000 metal detector (the "New Technology"). I started the day out ginseng hunting and then went a different direction and found a few Civil War relics. It turned out to be a great day as I ran into the owner and got to have a long talk with him; he lives away from here. As it turned out, I got permission on another spot that I thought I had lost to another relic hunter. Turned out that the owner didn't know anything about it and said I was welcome to detect all the property. If you've been following me on Facebook or YouTube, you know I had been having a lot of trouble with my knees. On this particular day, it was like old times; no pain. But, my luck ran out. A few days after this video was recorded, I went to the eye doctor and got some surprising and bad news. I found out I had a detached retina in my right eye and needed surgery. The surgery went okay, but I now have a C3F8 gas bubble in my eye. This bubble was necessary to hold the retina in place until the laser surgery. The sad part is that the bubble will take possibly 2 months to go away. It's nearly impossible for me to drive or even walk safely until it is gone. I was told that I'm not out of the woods yet and that this could happen again in either eye without warning. So, that being said I may not be able to make any new videos for a while. But just as quickly as I can, I'll be back out swinging so don't forget me. I would like to thank all of you who watch my videos and I'd like to encourage you to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't done so already. It's free and it helps me to stay motivated to keep making the videos. I hope you enjoy the video and that you will share it with others. “Saving Local History is always a worthwhile endeavor.” Facebook Group: / savinglocalhistory Facebook Fan Page: / savinglocalhistory #MetalDetecting #Tarsacci #SavingLocalHistory #CivilWar #Relics #Confederate
