With a whiff of Spring in the air, the first train of the day leaves for the terminus at Bog End, Birmingham with local lad Billy Kimble on board. As the sun starts to set a class 42 “Warship” makes a surprise pass through Wotton on its way to collect the evening parcels from Brill, just down the line. A short time later the diesel-hydraulic makes a spirited pass with a southern region van in tow, bound for Milton Town (which is not far off the beautiful hamlet of Milton Parva…….; which is….somewhere to the west……not sure where exactly???)
