Exploring the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve - Cayo Culebra

In this video, I go exploring the Sian Ka'an Biosphere a UNESCO world heritage site and Cayo Culebra. I take you along an aerial photography expedition in the southern part of the state of Quintana Roo Mexico between Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Boca Paila. The Sian Kaan reserve boasts diverse tropical forests and palm savannah. The region has one one of the most pristine wetlands in the state. Its lagoons and extensive mangrove are one of the reasons Mesoamerican Barrier Reef is so prolific. The comparison of the Caribbean ocean next to that of the biosphere is notable in these aerial photos. I especially liked the Yin and Yang relationship the waters that the lagoon represented in contrast to the waters of the Caribbean Ocean.
