AI Mini-conference: 02.05 Do we need to reconceptualise graduate attributes in the Gen AI era?

Michael O’Dea, University of York (Computer Science) Gen AI has disrupted all of society, with a significant impact in industry and in the future potentially on employment for graduates from all disciplines. Gen AI needs to be applied effectively and responsibly in industry, but there is a question as to whether graduates are equipped to be able to enable this and to be able to work in a future work environment shaped by GenAI. This session discusses these issues and looks at whether graduate attributes may need to be rethought in light of these developments.
