EXCELLENT against the run - didn't miss a tackle, 12th in stop rate. Think there's a 10-sack player in there when he recovers from ACL. ⚠️ DARON PAYNE - DISAPPOINTING (C- GRADE) The Reality: Two of his three sacks were in Week 1 and Week 18. 3.5 MONTHS of one sack. 49th in pressure rate (7.2%). Making 11th-most money of all DTs but not playing up to it. Could save $16.8M by trading him if Peters gets aggressive. 📉 JAVON KINLAW - FADED HARD (C+ GRADE) The Fade: Best player on defense early, then 22.2% missed tackle rate (worst of career). No sacks all year. Same pattern from Jets - elite until Week 13, then tanked. Elite upside, terrible downside. 🚨 JER'ZHAN NEWTON - HORRIBLE VS RUN (D- GRADE) The Disaster: 130th of 146 players in PFF run defense grade. Had 5 sacks but 3 in ONE game vs Cowboys (didn't beat blockers, Dak pushed into his lap). Full stop: needs to get STRONGER and LOWER. Excuses are done. 👍 EDDIE GOLDMAN - SOLID DEPTH (C GRADE) The Role: Liked having Eddie around. Wasn't high impact but didn't mess up like other linemen. Size was nice but probably not coming back. 📊 BOTTOM LINE Dorance Armstrong elite (A). Daron Payne 1 sack in 3.5 months (C-). Javon Kinlaw faded hard (C+). Jer'Zhan Newton 130th of 146 vs run (D-).
