IIT Madras Student Fathima Latheef kerala student Suicide Issue Details Fathima Latheef, a bright first year student of IIT Madras, committed suicide on 9th November by hanging from a ceiling fan in her hostel room. A note in her mobile phone mentioned names of some faculty members who she blamed for discriminating with her. While the matter is being probed by a Central Crime Branch team, the professors named in Fathima's note are yet to be questioned.
