The Juvenile Welfare Board has been part of the fabric of Pinellas County for nearly 80 years, investing in partnerships, innovation, and advocacy to strengthen the lives of children and families. JWB represents love in action, and it’s clear to see our theme – For the Love of Kids – displayed in many forms last year: We grew our investments by funding 12 new programs that align with our strategic plan, expanded funded program investments to stabilize the workforce and address other programmatic needs, and scaled up our campaigns and initiatives to meet families where they are. We responded rapidly to meet emergent needs when funding streams ended, as well as in the aftermath of back-to-back hurricanes, when families needed immediate relief and assistance. We maximized our partnerships for better outcomes for kids, and while that was not unique to last fiscal year, that it was the breadth and strength of JWB's partnerships that enabled us to increase our investments and respond in real-time during crisis or unexpected circumstances. JWB exists to meet the most pressing and immediate needs of Pinellas County children, ensuring they are ready to learn, succeed, and thrive in homes, schools, and neighborhoods that are healthy and safe.
