Canon EOS 90D 4K Video Test

Canon 90D 4K Cinematic Few years ago, I did a Canon 80D video test. And it turns out it was one of the best video on my channel. Few years later, Canon brought out an update. This Canon 90D. This camera actually came out last year with the Canon M6 Mark II. And I did a video test of that camera too. Link in Bio. And the 90D is pretty much the DSLR version. I wasn’t going to test out this camera. As the 4K quality would be identical to the M6 Mark II. But since I have got so many request on the 90D. So I took the 90D out for a little test. So even though the 4K video looks almost the same comparing with the M6 Mark II, but Canon claim the 90D is more to the professional side. First it has a crop mode selection. But if you wish to have cleaner read out. You can go to the crop mode. I’m assuming it would be similar as the M50 crop, But I didn’t test that in this video. And the second is the headphone jack. So you can monitor your audio. Over all, the Canon 90D is a solid camera. I like Canon is finally get rid of the 4K crop on an APS-C, which is a good thing. Also the Canon color and dual pixel AF are awesome. I reckon its a great blogging camera. But there are still a few of pro features missing such as 10Bit, 4K 60p and Canon Log. Even though I’m okay with no 10Bit and 4K 60p. And I don’t expect Canon will ever put 10Bit 4K 60p on a consumer DSLR. But the Canon Log I think it’s an important one and I wish Canon could have included. As you could see in the video, some shots the highlights were a bit off. It wouldn’t have that problem if it was shot on C-log. At the end, it is still a great camera, and I enjoyed shooting it a lot.
