When Your Words Get Twisted | Prayer for Light, Truth & Letting God’s Opinion Be Enough

Have you ever said something with a pure heart… and watched it get received completely differently? In this Facebook Live prayer, I prayed for anyone who has experienced the spiral — when words get taken into someone’s mind and turned into something they were never meant to be. That tornado of misunderstanding. The overthinking. The drama built on something that wasn’t even true. I prayed for the light-bringers. Because here’s the truth: darkness does not like when light shines on it. If you are someone who speaks truth… who gently (or boldly) tells people when they have something in their teeth… who brings clarity even when it’s uncomfortable… you will sometimes be misunderstood. In this live I prayed that we would remember: ✨ God’s opinion is the only one that ultimately matters. ✨ We do not have to defend ourselves when God defends us. ✨ What the enemy tries to twist, God can redeem. I thanked God for being the One who takes the impossible and makes it possible. I laid the drama, hate, and noise of the world at God’s feet. And I prayed that our world would have ears to truly HEAR — to hear love correctly, to receive truth correctly, and to stop spiraling stories that were never real. I also shared I’m like a sponge. I can hold a lot. I have a scrubby side that helps clean the muck out. And I have a soft side that washes everything down and leaves the dish sparkling. Sometimes love looks like telling the truth. Sometimes light feels sharp before it feels warm.
