The Chinese Theatre- How to visit the foot prints quick and easy The Chinese Theatre opened May of 1927 by Sid Grauman. Movies have Premiered there ever since the opening. Stars foot and handprints are imbedded in the concrete outside the theatre. There are over 200 Foot and handprints in the concrete which can be seen at no charge to the public. There are tours available for $16 that will show you the inside as well as explaining the hand prints but you do not have to take the tour to enjoy this attraction. The theatre was converted to Imax and it is currently the largest Imax theater in the world with 1162 seats. Originally named Grauman’s Chinese Theatre then bought out and named Mann’s Chinese and now is TCL Chinese Theater. Located at 6925 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood California.
