We recently had to replace our washer and dryer. As part of that project, I decided to install a laundry station. I didn't use anything fancy materials because this is meant as a temporary fixture until we tear down our house to rebuild in another year or two. This uses only very basic tools and techniques that anyone with a circular saw, jig saw, drill and a couple of common hand tools should be able to complete. To do this, you'll need: 1 - 4'x8'x3/4" sheet of Particle Board or MDK. You could also use plywood or a counter top, but I was going for cheap. 1 - 4'x8'x7/16" sheet of OSB. This could also be plywood if you want to fancy it up a bit. 7 - 2"x4"x92-5/8" boards. 96" will work as well, you'll just end up with more waste. 1 - 4' dowel and matching spade bit. I went with 1-1/4" diameter, but if your drill is a little underpowered, try 3/4" or 1" instead. 1 box of 2" screws. 1 box of 1 inch screws. 6-8 laundry baskets (optional of course, if you already have the baskets you need). wood glue tape measure pencil speed square assorted drill bits If anchoring to concrete, concrete screws with matching concrete drill bit. Hammer drill recommended. Powder-actuated hammer is even easier. Find me at: Twitter: @sawdustislife Instagram: @sawdustislife Web: www.sawdustislife.com Email: [email protected] #DIY #Make
