Left Hand Collet Loop is our latest off-the-beaten-path exploration for 50 trails in 50 weeks for #OHV50. Chad grabs his buddies and takes his side by side to the place where the old and new West meet. This 60-mile loop traverses through Cedar Wash Road, Hole in the Rock Road up to Left Hand Collet and finally Collet Top Loop. Base camp is the quaint town of Escalante, where you can grab a map from any of the outfitters and plan some time for stops to enjoy the trail’s many highlights like an ancient Anasazi era granary. Connect with Utah’s pioneer heritage with a stop at Escante Heritage Center or (politely) stroll through the streets after a visit to the People's Exchange, where you can get a map of historical places in town. We’re showcasing all the adorable spots in Escalante too, which include lodging options like rustic cabins and bed and breakfasts as well several great restaurants like Nemo's, Georgie's Outdoor Mexican Cafe, Canyon Grill at Canyon Country Lodge and Mimi's Bakery & Cafe. Stock up on supplies at Griffin Grocery and fill up your tank and for your journey home at one of several gas stations/convenience stores like the Phillips 66, located at the center of town.
