The GKA Youth Kite World Championships are currently being staged in Tarifa, Spain, from 20–25 June and they have kicked off with a great forecast. The event is taking place at Tumbao beach club, Valdevaqueros Beach. This one-of-a-kind world championship has attracted 45 talented young athletes from 19 different nations across the globe. They have gathered here, prepared to showcase their skills and compete fiercely in the U14, U16 and U19 age groups in Twin-Tip Freestyle and Kite-Surf Surfboard disciplines. In addition to the competition, the GKA Youth Kite World Championships offer exciting opportunities for aspiring young kiteboarding champions. They can engage with top professionals during demo days by major kiteboarding brands, testing the latest gear and receiving guidance from their heroes. Seminars led by renowned figures like Alex Pastor, Polly Crathorne, and Liam Whaley provide valuable insights and mentorship to help these young riders develop their skills and pursue successful kiteboarding careers. This ideal weather allowed us to successfully wrap up the boy's U14 and girl's U16 Twintip Freestyle categories. As the afternoon unfolded, we made remarkable progress and moved forward with the boy's U16 Twintip category, aiming to complete it on the event's second day.
