Along the way, I visit Smilyan, where I stumble upon a local folk festival, then explore Mogilitsa—a charming village filled with roses, traditional stone houses, and fortress-like architecture. My journey continues through Arda and ends in Gorna Arda, the last settlement before the Greek border. Although the rain kept me from exploring the village itself, the drive there was unforgettable: raw, untouched nature, mountain peaks, meadows, and spectacular views. Sometimes property scouting isn’t about finding “the one” right away, but about building a sense of the land and its possibilities.
