This is a musical journey, honouring 'Abdu'l-Bahá. It also marks the one hundredth year since His passing from this earth to the next world. 'Abdu'l-Bahá is one of the kindest, most beautiful souls to ever walk on this earth. Though the tribulations were constant and the weight of His mission was extraordinary, He served humanity, tirelessly, with a heart full of love. He was unendingly generous and gave every ounce of His life to bringing goodness to the world. His Name, 'Abdu'l-Bahá, means Servant to the Glory, which He gave Himself, as He exclaimed, this was His greatest yearning, to serve the Beloved, and all of humankind. Siru'lláh, The Mystery of God, is a Title bestowed upon Him by His Father, Bahá'u'lláh, Who is the most recent of the Manifestations of God. All the Words that are sung in this piece are from the Baha'i Holy Writings. Some of the Titles of 'Abdu'l-Bahá* are sung throughout, always returning to "Sirru'lláh," the Arabic word for "The Mystery of God," because the beautiful and extraordinary nature of this soul can not fully be understood. His abounding grace, His servitude and fortitude, His unfailing example attest to His high and beautiful Station. This is our humble offering. *Bridge; Titles of 'Abdu'l-Bahá: “A shield unto all who are in heaven and on earth” “A stronghold for whosoever hath believed in God” “This sacred and glorious Being, this Branch of Holiness” “The Limb of the Law of God” “A shelter for all mankind” Note: Please, please, forgive our imperfect pronunciation of any words. None of us has Farsi or Arabic as our first language. Chanted by Christina, Jonathan, Julia and Gabriel Frith, with love Cello, Anatoli Torjinski Recorded and engineered, Ian Hatton
