Demo Akai GX-650D (headphones recommended, switching between Source and Tape during recording)

Hey, this is a demo of my AKAI GX-650D. Rare and unique unit. There isn't many RTR having 15ips (4-track). Did full service myself. When I opened it I was amazed since this unit almost didn't have any dust inside. I believe it was used only for short time and then stored packed in the original box, which came also when I bought this piece of history. Honestly unit looks brand new! I did change some caps on the playback board and almost all on the rec board. Also changed notorious Hitachi 2SC458 transistors (all on rec. board, and first straight after play head on playback board). Caps on rec. board were replaced with Nichicon Gold Fine. Definitely changed notorious motor run caps (Hitachi 0.47uF 250WV) to WIMA film caps. The unit was calibrated to LPR90 tape (250nW/m). The azimuth of heads was precision corrected. Really nice RTR machine in collectible condition with the original box.
