Huge Kenworth Heil PowerTrak Garbage Truck on the Peninsula!

Just east of Galveston Island lies Bolivar Peninsula, a pretty thin strip of land in between East Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. That’s pretty much all I’ll say about it before I turn this description into a Geography assignment, but all in all it’s a super panoramic and relaxing place, and you should look it up! Peninsula Sanitation provides trash collection and septic service to the entire peninsula. They have a lot of history down there, especially in cleanup efforts after Hurricane Ike. The company runs 4 rear loaders between residential and commercial, however I only found the 2 assigned to residential. Since some of the roads are dead ends, the driver usually has to reverse off the main road. Most of the containers residents use are in wooden cases that keep them secure during storms, which I found interesting. Although I probably took 200 miles out of the tank that day, I hope y’all enjoy this special adventure! Huge thanks to the chill and hilarious crew for letting me record!
