Songwriter/Musician Luther Russell Performs "Motorbike" and "Everything You Do" Live on TALK SHOW This last fall when the weather was still warm, GalleryBeat Media dragged it's excellent butt to the bedroom burb of Suffern, where art star Spencer Tunick nudged us to do a show for an audience outside the city. We brought our own gang - artists Judy Rifka and Chris Lee plus our own largish crew to make sure the show had attendance. Wise move, since what I had known about the the burbs, because I escaped them eons ago, was that if you don't play '70's cover songs or have a soccer field you get Stepfordized. We had our own good crowd from the city and a flask of Stoli. Not even a guy who paints nudes could get an audience. (as an art critic I found his skills to be wanting) The outdoor barbeque got the most attention but we were playing indoors in Spencer's nicely appointed studio with a great PA system by friend.
