The CC-40 is TI's Compact Computer, a strange little machine that was succeeded by the TI-74 BASICALC. Both machines apparently use a BASIC very similar (or the same?) as TI Extended BASIC on the TI 99/4A. I've got three CC-40s - two are junkers due to battery corrosion damage and the third almost works (some display issues). Soooo ... hoping to get one decent machine out of the three. No guarantee ... let's see. In this first part I transplant an LCD from one of the junkers to the working machine. There is some improvement in the display (several rows are now working) but some columns are still missing. I will try to fix those in the second part ...
