In the 80's Jarocin, a small Polish town, became a central point for rock music in the whole eastern Europe. As the biggest alternative music festival on this side of the Iron Curtain, it became on of a few places, where musicians could sing what they wanted, almost without any ingerention by the censore office. It became a place where the youth could feel free from the overwhelming oppressive regime. In the documentary from 1985 Piotr Łazarkiewicz tried to show eevery points of view: the one of the youth attending the festival, the one of the communist party (represented also by the official youth organisations), the one of the Jarocin townsfolk, living through the invasion of strange-looking young creatures, and the one of a town officials - who seen the festival more as a chance for the town, so they tried to defend it against any concerns from the communist regime (which is often hilarious, and gives us an insight to their mentality). The movie was heavily censored, but the original tape survived and was released after the fall of the communist regime. Still, there are some parts that are just lost. For example - nobody would allow Paweł Gumola to utter the name of his band - MOSKWA - as it was clearly an anti-soviet mockery.
