Review of Power Queen 12v 50 Ah LiFeP04 Battery. I installed the two Power Queen 50Ah LifeP04 Batteries on my homemade 24V E-bike. It was nice of Power Queen to send me two 50 Ah 12V batteries to test with no obligations, so I could provide my thoughts. I have been using heavy SLA sealed lead-acid batteries on my projects, so these batteries came at the perfect time. The Power Queen 50 Ah battery weighs 11.5 lbs, about the same as one 20 Ah SLA battery, so these are a great upgrade for my ebike. I also show in this video hooking up a 24V controller on the bike and also adding a cooling fan to the motor. Before installing these onto the ebike, my range was very limited. I wanted to see how far I could go on the bike, and did a range test; it took a few days to drain these batteries, and in total, I was able to go an outstanding 100km, even with the less efficient DC 24v 500-watt brushed motor. If I used these on a bike with a (BLDC) brushless motor, I could even see a much better range. Even though the batteries weigh 11.5 Lbs each, they are still manageable on my ebike. I noticed my homemade ebike had more power and was able to go faster. This is due to slightly higher voltage, and these batteries provide a full 50 amps. I tested the capacity of these batteries and ran them until my inverter shut down. I noticed these batteries have an accurate capacity of 640 watt-hours and even more if run down to the cut-off voltage. Of course, temperature is important to achieve the full capacity; colder weather temperatures will reduce capacity. I am very happy with the capacity and the build quality of these batteries seem very good, and they have proper terminal bolts. Not only are LiFeP04 battries great because of their lighter weight, but they can also accept a higher current charge or C rating, which is nice for any EV conversions to be able to quick charge. They recommend 10 amps for charging, but can accept 50 amps max I used a 15 amp charger with no issues. I recommend using ring terminals with heavy-gauge wire to reduce heat at the charger clamps. I'm not taking these batteries apart, but some people have done this, and the build quality is good. I recommend keeping the battery warm during the winter. If this is not possible, bring it indoors and allow it to warm up fully before charging. My overall opinion of these batteries is that they are of a great build quality, fairly lightweight wight easy to carry, and I can't find any issues; they performed perfectly, the BMS low voltage and overcharge worked perfectly, and they provided the full watt hours as described. I was sent these Power Queen batteries for free to do an honest review with no bias. I was not paid for this review.
