How do we share our faith with people who aren't looking for "rules"? In our ongoing study of Romans, we see Paul addressing two distinct mindsets: the "older brother" (religious/moral) and the "younger brother" (secular/irreligious). While the religious person needs to know they haven't kept the rules, the secular person often needs to hear that they aren't as free as they think they are. In this Q&A, we discuss the practical strategy for reaching "younger brother" types. It’s not about cold-call standard-setting; it’s about authentic investment, walking through life's weights together, and modeling the genuine freedom—from worry, from the need to prove ourselves, and from shame—that is only found in Jesus. In this video, we discuss: The "Two Brothers" framework (Luke 15) in Romans chapters 1 and 2. Why "rule-based" evangelism often falls flat with secular people. The Power of Presence: Being invested in people’s lives before their framework collapses. Living "Visibly Free": How our internal security in Christ becomes a witness to others. When and how to speak into the "captivity" of others with the hope of the Gospel. "To the extent that we are experiencing freedom in Christ, we share that with the people around us. Eventually, they’re going to say, 'How they are living seems more free than the way I’m living.'" KEY SCRIPTURES: Romans 1 & 2: Paul’s address to the irreligious and the religious. Luke 15: The Parable of the Prodigal Son (The Two Brothers). John 8:36: "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
