A Step Up from the MT100 At first glance, the MT120 looks familiar to longtime Bobcat users... but the upgrades are anything but subtle. With a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 1,200 pounds, it delivers a 200-pound boost over its predecessor, the MT100. Beneath its compact frame, the Daedong engine powers through with 25% more torque, giving operators extra muscle for demanding job sites. “From the ground up, this machine is about getting more done with less effort,” explained Nicholas (Nick) Pagano, MBA, Product Specialist at Bobcat Company. “You’re getting more torque, more lift, and better control ... all while staying within that key 36-inch frame for tight access jobs.” Designed for Comfort and Control Bobcat’s engineering team placed special emphasis on operator experience. The MT120 introduces pilot drive controls, eliminating much of the manual resistance and fatigue operators feel during long workdays. Instead of wrestling with the machine, users can now rely on responsive hydraulics that provide smoother operation and more precise maneuvering. Adding to the innovation is a 4.3-inch passcode-protected display... a first for Bobcat’s MT lineup. This digital interface gives operators secure access to machine data, ensuring both convenience and peace of mind on shared worksites. Form Meets Function Versatility is another strong point. The MT120 offers both 9-inch standard and 11-inch wide track options, all while maintaining that compact 36-inch width. Whether navigating narrow gates or working in confined spaces, the MT120 keeps mobility and stability front and center. Production Challenges and Collaboration This video of the interview for the MT120 faced its own test of endurance... it was filmed on an extremely rainy day at The Utility Expo.
