In this video, NC Apiary Inspector Greg Farris comes out to inspect my hives, and issue a Certificate of healt. In North Carolina, and most states in order to sell bees commercially you must be inspected by a Department of Agriculture representative. This can be nerve-racking, but the permit is critical to have a healthy honey bee population as the inspection prevents diseased bees from being sold and spreading disease and pest throughout the state, or even country. The inspection went well, and we passed with flying colors! It's been a long time since I got into bees, and I've finally built up to become my own stand-alone farm. We expect to rear enough queens to stock many local apiaries with high quality, fresh bees and Queens, and provide out community with LOADS of high quality honey.
