Would you like to foster more creativity, curiosity, confidence and courage in your students’ singing, but find that their mental and emotional challenges get in the way of productive lessons? One of the best ways we can lead our students is by first being able to lead ourselves. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a framework that allows deeper understanding of ourselves and others and helps us relate both in a compassionate way. “Self-led teaching” using principles of IFS is a trauma-informed and student-centered approach that benefits all students. In this workshop, voice teachers will be introduces to the IFS framework and key concepts that can be utilized in the private studio to empower students to grow in skill and confidence.
