DETROIT'S HISTORIC BRUSH PARK NEIGHBORHOOD

Brush park is one of Detroit's oldest and historic neighborhoods. Most of this areas contains large old houses and small apt buildings. There is currently a lot of renovation going on. The area is just north of Ford Field House and Comerica Park where the Lions and Tigers play. Many young suburbanites have moved to the area. The area sits next to the former site of the notorious Brewster Housing Pojects high rises which have been recently demolished. A more recently built low rise section still in use exists a little further north near I-75/Mack.
