First bike ride to work of 2026. It was cold and damp and got even worse for the ride home (coming soon), but all things considered, not a bad ride. The bike counter on Bloor by High Park said 15 cyclists before I went by, which isn't surprising to me, but the anti-bikers might think that seems high considering they don't think anybody rides bikes in the winter. I don't usually notice any particular vehicle on my way to work, but on this day there was a Grand & Toy delivery truck that I kept passing (and then it would pass me), from Keele to Spadina. You can use that to gauge whether or not traffic is a nightmare or a disaster or whatever, I guess. This was supposed to be the first week of back to work for all provincial employees five days a week, but the traffic around Queen's Park and College Street didn't seem worse than usual.
