Last August, Jacopo Larcher and Babsi Zangerl tackled another Rätikon’s gem - “The Gift” (8c, 7 pitches, 350m). Originally established by Alex Luger in 2015, this route had been waiting nearly a decade for a repeat. After checking out the line in 2021, Jacopo and Babsi came back last summer for a serious attempt: six days of perfecting beta, cleaning holds, and team effort to climb it red-point. Jacopo made the first repeat on August 12th, leading every pitch without a fall. Three days later, Babsi followed with the first female ascent, adjusting her sequence for the tricky crux: “The crux is this stunning overhanging grey streak - power endurance climbing with burly sequences.
