Breaking: Afghan Forces Launch Retaliatory Strikes On Pakistani Military Posts Along Durand Line

A new wave of retaliatory attacks by Afghan forces has commenced against Pakistani military posts along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. According to Afghan media outlet Tolo News, multiple strikes have targeted Pakistani military positions including forward posts along the Durand line. The escalation intensified in districts of Zazi Maidan, Alishar and Terzi, with Afghan forces launching massive retaliatory strikes on Pakistani military positions. This follows Pakistan's declaration of what its Defence Minister Khawaja Hussain termed open war with the Taliban. Despite Pakistan seeking intervention from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, and Iran volunteering to mediate, tensions continue to escalate. Taliban forces have reportedly carried out drone strikes in Pakistan's capital Islamabad, Abbottabad where Pakistan's military academy is located, and Naushehra.
