Continuing on with the Special Weapon runs of Soul Edge this time around with Seung Mi-Na and her super defensive Morning Star. The run will also be completed on the Ultra Hard difficulty with No Losses. Lets take a look below at Seung Mi-Na's Morning Star stats in numbers: Morning Star - Power: 109.7% Defense: 140.1% Strength: 125.0% Durability: 100.0% Weight: 5 Bars/0.98 Speed Range: 0.88 Pierce Damage: 10% (approximate) Pierce Weakness: 0% Special Effects: None Note: Horizontal hitbox on vertical attacks has wider hitboxes. As you can see by the stats, Defense is its main selling point while coupled by very all rounded stats overall with everything at 100.0% or above. The tip of the Morning Star has a wider hitbox which causes vertical attacks to be able to catch side-steps easier which forces the timing on the opponent side to be more on point and even the CPU can sometimes mistime a side-step. It also has 10% Pierce Damage and coupled with 125.0% Strength makes very good at punishing constant blocking which will most likely happen thanks to Mi-Na's annoyingly safe playstyle. This weapon has one minor drawback with 0.98 Speed the stat that can change some matchups around is its range modifier at 0.88. For all the weapons that Mi-Na has, the Morning Star is the only one that is shorter which was pretty much a design choice as Mi-Na having a super defensive weapon with her playstyle would be too good as its Defense is even higher then the Spiked Mace and as i explained in previous runs, even a 5% difference on Defense makes a huge difference when compared to Power do to the Defense Formula being different.
