#BiharBikeTrip #MahabodhiTemple #Bodhgaya #Nalanda #SudurerPiyasi Before leaving for Nalanda from Bodhgaya, we visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mahabodhi Temple, the place where Lord Buddha is believed to receive enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. After Bodhgaya we look a left turn and followed the Rajgir road. On our way we came across an interesting village named 'Pattharkatti', a village of marble sculptors. The road up to Nalanda was nice and smooth. We unloaded our luggage in hotel Shubham International beside the highway 4 km before Nalanda ruin and immediately started for Nalanda. Visiting the remains of Nalanda University was the experience of a lifetime. If you want to cover the historical thoroughly, a whole day will not be enough. One should also visit the Nalanda University just opposite to the ruins, because most of the sculptures rescued from the ruins are preserved here.
