Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel (Long Version) O glorious St. Michael the Archangel, Prince of the heavenly hosts, defender of the Church, and champion of God's people, you who were the first to rise against the pride of Lucifer, you who cast down the rebellious angels from the heights of Heaven— come to our aid in this time of darkness and trial. Mighty warrior of God, you who stand ever before the throne of the Most High, offering Him our prayers and interceding for the faithful, protect us from the snares of the enemy, from the deceit of the devil, and from the evil that stalks our hearts and homes. Be our safeguard against all wickedness, both seen and unseen. Strengthen us in the battle against temptation, fortify our resolve to walk the path of righteousness, and grant us the courage to stand firm in our faith even when the world rejects truth. With your flaming sword, drive far from us the spirits of darkness and despair. Pierce through the lies that cloud our minds. Break the chains that bind us to sin and lead us into freedom in Christ. St. Michael, defender of souls, walk beside us in our journey, shield us in moments of doubt, guard us in times of danger, and carry our prayers swiftly to the throne of grace. Watch over our families, our communities, our nations, and the Church throughout the world. Bring down from Heaven the light of God's justice, and cast into the abyss every force that opposes His divine will. O most noble Prince of the angelic hosts, by the power of God entrusted to you, bind Satan and all his legions. Do not permit them to prevail over us. Let every victory be the Lord's. We humbly ask that you remain ever near to us, until that glorious day when Christ shall return in majesty, and all creation will be restored in perfect peace.
