Data Management Planning: lessons from Europe
Recorded: 21 August 2019 Brought to you by the ARDC and the Data Management Plans (DMP) interest group, this webinar will provide an introduction to Data Management Plans and how they are being applied in Europe. Recent trends will be profiled such as funders placing the onus of responsibility on research institutions, universities requiring PhD students to have DMPs approved by supervisors for progression, and typical feedback/review practices. New features in the DCC’s DMPonline tool will be demonstrated and an update on machine actionable DMP developments from the Research Data Alliance Working Groups will also be provided. The webinar will be presented by Sarah Jones, Associate Director at the Digital Curation Centre. Sarah coordinates the DMPonline service and has been engaged in international DMP activities for the past decade.
