Today as it Happened on Tuesday, February 3, 2026: Lawyers for survivors of Jeffrey Epstein say more than 100 women had their names made public when the Department of Justice released more than 3.5 million pages of documents Friday. A federal judge will hear their complaints on Wednesday. Judge Richard Berman is urging the parties to work in good faith but holding a hearing because he says he recognizes the concern and the urgency of the issues. In an interview airing Monday, President Donald Trump told former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino that Republicans should “take over the voting” in at least 15 places. Trump repeated claims from after the 2020 election that he won states where official totals showed he lost, calling those states “crooked.” “The Republicans should say, ‘We want to take over. We should take over the voting in at least — many, 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting,’” Trump said. Elections are conducted at the state level, per the U.S. Constitution. And Russia has carried out its largest missile and drone assault of the year on Ukraine, ending a brief, U.S.-brokered pause in attacks. The attack came as U.S., Russian and Ukrainian negotiators are expected to hold trilateral peace talks in Abu Dhabi this week, the second round of negotiations. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of choosing terrorism over diplomacy, saying 70 missiles and 450 drones targeted energy infrastructure in six regions ahead of the talks. ------------------------------------- Join our newsletter at https://bit.ly/2q1tepr Follow us on Facebook: / scrippsnews Follow us on Twitter: / scrippsnews Follow us on Instagram: / scrippsnews Follow us on TikTok: / scrippsnews
