The Super Blood Wolf Moon 2019!

The first full moon of the year has been called a Wolf moon for thousands of years. This morning the 21st of January, i was able to witnessed the rare Super Blood Wolf Moon. I woke up at 4:30 in the morning, it was super cold with an outside temperature of -5 degrees Celcius, but i managed to capture some nice shots of the Super Blood Wolf Moon with our “old” Nikon D70. The entire experience was so worth it and surreal! I’ve read that the Super Blood Wolf Moon is the combination of the overlapping astronomical phenomenon- Full moon, Wolf Moon, Super moon and a total lunar eclipse. Interesting isn’t it? ;) Actually, this is my first time seeing a Super Blood Wolf Moon😁 The Wolf moons happen every year, and supermoons tend to occur three or four times a year. I can’t remember the last time i witnessed the Lunar Eclipse, but what I will not forget was the Solar Eclipse way back in the Philippines when i was a kid. We were then making some noise when the sun temporarily vanished from the sky ‘coz we believed that a celestial dragon was going to eat the Sun and causing a Solar Eclipse. 😀 Have you witnessed the Super Blood Wolf Moon today? or some other Eclipse?
