In the Avatar universe, Earth is shown as a planet in very serious trouble. By the late 21st and early 22nd century, Earth has been badly damaged by human activities. Climate change, heavy pollution, and the overuse of natural resources have made the planet unhealthy and unsafe. The air is filled with greenhouse gases, creating a thick haze, and clean air has become rare. Earth’s population reached around 20 billion people, which caused major problems like food shortages & overcrowded cities. Countries fought wars called the Resource Wars over the last remaining energy and materials. Nukes, environmental damage, and excessive mining made the situation even worse. Disasters, such as a huge tsunami that damaged the western coast of America, added to the suffering. Because Earth is slowly dying and can no longer support all humans, the RDA have started to begin moving people to the moon Pandora in a new steady colonization effort to create a new home for humanity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Credits: credits: Some visuals and ideas shown in this video were referenced from the Minecraft project “Pandora Reforged.” Pandora Reforged is a creative Minecraft world.
