Over landing & Camping in Oman | Jabal Shams and Wadi Shab

Mimi and I headed to Oman with a group of friends for a proper camping and off-road adventure, with one Jeep and a Land Cruiser in the mix. Day one took us up to the top of Jabal Shams, where we camped for the night. It was freezing, but the views made it worth it. On day two, we took an off-road trail down the mountain, following a scenic route that wrapped around Jabal Shams, passing small villages and wadis along the way. From there, we continued the drive toward the coast, crossing wide open desert landscapes, passing under a highway, and eventually making our way to the beach. We arrived late that night, but the next morning delivered some really beautiful drone shots of our campsite by the water. Our final day was spent at Wadi Shab, and honestly, it was the highlight of the entire trip. An easy hike, plenty of water crossings, and an incredible cave-like pool at the end where you can swim and jump off the rocks — absolutely worth it.
